I have had the same Airtel Prepaid number for the past 5 years. I have been out of town for 6 months and hence the phone was switched off, but the validity of the sim extends until July 2010. When I switched the phone on, I was told that my number has been disconnected since I haven't used it. They also mentioned that they had sent a group message to many phones saying they would be disconnected for lack of use. However, the fact that the phones are not being used completely contradicts the point of the message. The reason Airtel and other subscribers have people's postal and email addresses is so that they can communicat with them in a manner other than through cell phones. Information of this magnitude cannot be sent through a text message and it is unfair to cancel someone's number based on sending one text warning. Furthermore, as I had already paid for the validity, what happens to that money? I have paid a good amount to have it valid until July, however, that is also wasted. I urge you to look into this matter as it is unfair on both counts.

My name is Ashutosh Jajodia, joined as an financial advisor at your co. in Apr 2006 at Bilaspur (C.G). My license was expired in Apr 2009. From that time I was in follow up with my RM (Amit deshpande) for its renewal, but he forced me to give one new case until which I will not be able to renew my license. Now 20 days before I walked up in branch & Ops manager (Gautam Suryawanshi) told me to submit few Docs & the license will be renewed. On 19th june’10 when my Dad met the concern BM (Dinesh Arora) told that I have to again go through new licencisg process. I am OK with this, but my concern is this that nobody (Mr Deshpande, Mr Gautam) has proper knowledge of the process. Again Mr Arora was very rude & misbehaved with my father, which brings very bad for such a reputed company. I respect the rules & regulations laid down by IRDA, but people at a higher post should know how to deal with their agents/customers as because of them they are in existence. In future I make sure that I will not recommend this company for any type of dealings.

Hi, I have received missed call from +923476648131, yesterday @ 9:58am, stating that my airtel no has won 25L in a lucky dip and that person said his name is KIRAN KUMAR SHARMA and calling from DELHI & he gave me one more no +923428331588 which he said it belongs MUMBAI !!!
Suprisingly when I called that no the person said its not MUMBAI so I disconnected the call. Perhaps I received a message from AIRTEL stating that the no is ISD call be care full while doing such calls, then I got real shock.
So PLEASE BE CARE FULL & DON't RECEIVE any calls starting from +923 ... ....
Hi, Yesterday at 09:58am I got a missed call from +923476648131. And without knowing that as an ISD call, I reverted to the same no. but they said the call is from Airtel & my no. has won 25L to collect the check no I need to call another no. which is +923428331588 (once again an ISD no) which I was not aware ....
After checking with airtel I came to know these no's belong to Pakistan. Beware of these nos EVERYBODY

So please help to activate tracking system.
